Energy Generation Capacity:

Energy Self-Sufficiency

Varrsana Ispat Limited has developed a strong and sustainable energy ecosystem, which is environment-friendly, to support the uninterrupted operations of its integrated steel plant. Our captive power generation facilities ensure a reliable and continuous supply of electricity, enabling efficient and seamless steel production. As an environment-conscious organisation, we have also started moving towards renewable energy, and we have taken the first step towards this by installing a rooftop solar power plant.

  • 36 MW Coal-Based Captive Thermal Power Plant for dependable in-house power generation.
  • 8 MW Waste Heat Recovery Boiler (WHRB) Power Plant utilizing waste heat generated from Sponge Iron Kilns.
  • 1 MW Rooftop Solar Power Plant promoting the use of renewable energy.

Our integrated energy approach ensures 100% power reliability for critical operations, including Induction Furnaces, while maximizing energy efficiency through waste heat utilization. By converting waste heat into valuable green energy and adopting renewable power solutions, Varrsana Ispat Limited continues to reduce its carbon footprint and strengthen its commitment towards sustainable and responsible steel manufacturing.
